Public transport:

The tram number 11 from Leipzig stops only 350 m away from the lakeside promenade in Markkleeberg-Ost.

Get off at the tram stop: 'Schillerplatz' (Markkleeberg-Ost) and walk for ca. 5 minutes along the Bornaischen Straße.

This year like last year on weekends and bank holidays from 1. May to the end of September the bus 65 will be extended from the regular final destination bus stop "Markkleeberg, Bahnhof" to "Markkleeberg, Seepromenade". In this way, bus number 65 will directly connect the two large lakes in the South of Leipzig with the West of Leipzig.

From 27th June 2015 to 4th October 2015 the new bus number 106 operates and directly connects the train station “S-Bahnhof Markkleeberg” with the Markkleeberger lake and Störmthaler lake. The timetable of the new bus 106 is aligned with the timetables of the passenger ships operating on the lakes as well as the train (“S-Bahn”) schedule. Bus stops are located at the lakeside promenade in Markkleeberg-Ost and in Auenhain close to the whitewater park.
